One of Summer’s biggest colour trends this year has been white and it’s definitely a colour trend I have fully embraced. White for me is probably one of my favourite colours, for many reasons, the main ones being – it’s fresh looking, clean looking and it’s easy to style with any other colour. It’s also great for summer as somehow I always feel cooler in it.
A cooler, more neutral colour palette has been my go to for this summer. It always feels cool and breezy and is so easy to style. One of my favourite pieces have been these amazing white shorts from Mango. They were fantastic while I was on holiday and look amazing on their own or under a sheer dress. I love the D-ring belt that does up easily and the length is great – it shows just enough leg. Here I have styled them for a slightly cooler day as I’m thinking ahead to less warm Autumn months. I wanted to show you that you don’t have to completely pack away your summer wardrobe and I will go in to more detail about this in an upcoming Summer to Autumn stying post coming soon on the blog.
I paired the shorts with a turtle neck. As you may know, a turtle neck is one of my Autumn/Winter staples and I really want to see if I could pair them with a typically Summer piece. Then we have my new boots. I first showed these in a online wish list post back in February! I finally got my hands on them just in time for Autumn and I’m truly in love. Zara have now released these boots in more colours – white, burgundy and light brown. You can now also get them with a stiletto heel. I can’t wait to style these boots with long knit dresses like we’ve seen a lot of the runways lately. These will be with me every Autumn/Winter for years to come.
